Thankful for Financial Literacy

Our client Jimmy Lockett’s smile says it all. This week he reached a major milestone: He opened his very first checking account!

He said he’s excited to set up direct deposits through his job so he won’t have to carry cash around any more, and so he can avoid the heavy check cashing fees. Jimmy is also excited to take Gateway Center’s Financial Literacy classes so he can learn how to manage his account.

Jimmy is currently residing at Gateway Center, and his GWC case manager has helped him get the medical diagnoses he needed. Soon, his cataracts will be removed, and he will be able to see the world in a whole new light!
