Connected Learning Center – In Partnership With AT&T
Gateway Center’s Connected Learning Center, made possible through our partnership with AT&T, provides guests with access to technology, digital resources, workforce training, employer connections, and individualized coaching to support their path toward employment and economic stability.
Through the Connected Learning Center, guests can strengthen digital literacy, build job-readiness skills, explore career opportunities, and connect their experiences and talents with meaningful employment. By helping bridge the digital divide and expand access to workforce resources, Gateway Center and AT&T are creating pathways to greater opportunity, independence, and long-term stability.
GWC’s Connected Learning Center will serve:
- Men age 18 or above
- Must reside in a GWC Facility
- Willingness to commit to one’s self
- Willingness to develop good work habits
- Must demonstrate an ability to work in a work environment
The Connected Learning Center provides the following services:
- Soft skills training
- Financial management
- Organizational skills
- Interpersonal skills & teamwork
- Workplace preparation & communication
- Job retention
The Connected Learning Center utilizes partnerships with local workforce development agencies and businesses to create internships and job opportunities that our guests can participate in, which shapes future careers and inspires them to excel in their personal life as well as in community.
Our rigorous job readiness program puts our guests in a position to succeed. The experiences our guests take from their jobs and internships do exceedingly more than adding a line to their résumés.
